Member profile:
I spent the duration of my Master's degree in the Philosophy of Science, Technology, and Society in the Netherlands living, learning, and working among many engineers, data scientists, medical professionals, and anthropologists, although my background is in Ethics. My interest leans more toward exploring and incorporating techniques for interdisciplinary collaboration and engaging participants from vastly different cultures in the processes of technology design and prototyping. I am fascinated that even the smallest of differences in culture and cultural experiences can lead to large problems in the engineering and designing of a project, and I enjoy working with engineers to learn how to engage with their communities with respect and consideration. The notable techniques I can bring to the table are: Horizon Scanning, Ethical Technology Assessment, and Constructive Technology Assessment in this particular context.
