Member profile: 

I am a Chinese graduate student in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, interested in integrating the arts and engineering to foster compassion, justice, democracy, and peace in a global context. Comparative education research on different contexts is the key to understanding and changing the world. My research interest broadly covers comparative research on innovation, teaching, and learning in engineering education. I focus more on the quality of International higher education by using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Topics I have worked on include teamwork assessment, project-based Learning, problem-based learning, general curricula for students of science and technology (empirical case study), Engineering Education Accreditation (ABET) criteria and assessment, and international Collaboration of Scholars in Graduate Education.
