I am particularly interested in how students reflect on international experiences and how students’ identities can impact their time abroad. Further, I am interested in finding ways to improve access to global engineering programs so that all students can participate. I led a team of authors in investigating the experiences of prospective transfer students in a global engineering program. Our paper was presented at The Collaborative Network for Engineering and Computing Diversity (CoNECD) Conference in 2019. I am continuing to expand this work in order to understand how students’ identities and lived experiences impact how they experience and engage in global engineering programs. I have taught two RSAP tracks as the graduate student leader (UK/Ireland in 2018 and Europe in 2019).
